Your Consultation
When you arrive at Chesterfield Chiropractic Clinic, you will be asked to complete a registration form if you have not already completed this online. This form includes your personal details and some information about your past health history and current complaint. You will also be asked to sign consent for examination and treatment, as well as completing a data protection form and a coronavirus COVID-19 consent. Following this, your chiropractor will take you to a consultation room where they will take full history relating to your current and past health and perform a thorough examination pertaining to your complaint.
Your chiropractic examination
During the examination, you may be asked to undress down to your underwear and will be provided with a gown. The chiropractor will leave the room whilst you change. An examination will usually consist of assessing posture and range of motion, performing thorough neurological and biomechanical examinations, and on occasions performing examinations of your heart, lungs, and abdomen to rule out any other causes of your existing problem. Following your examination, you will be given a report of the findings, during which your diagnosis and most suitable treatment will be discussed in plain, understandable English, after which you can ask questions about your condition and/or chiropractic care and treatment.
Your chiropractic treatment
If you consent to chiropractic care, treatment will often begin immediately. Sometimes, further information or investigations may be required before treatment can commence. If chiropractic treatment is not appropriate, you will be referred to your GP or relevant specialist for further investigation or advice. Your details are confidential, and no one else will be able to see your notes without your permission. The initial consultation will take between 30 and 45 minutes. The conditions we treat include:

-
Low back pain
-
Neck pain
-
Hip and knee pain
-
Extremity joint conditions
-
Leg pain, and many more conditions
What if you need X-rays or scans as part of your chiropractic examination?
If an X-ray or MRI scan is required to assist with the examination, we have immediate access to private hospital and clinic facilities, located in Chesterfield and Derbyshire, which ensure that time is not wasted in gathering any relevant information. However, sometimes our clients prefer to have investigations via the NHS in which case this is at the discretion of your GP. For more information, get in touch with us today. You can explore more information about our treatments, which include rehabilitation, massage, and podiatry, or get to know our practitioners using their online bios.
"Absolutely fantastic service! Struggled with my lower back for years, but since having regular appointments with Toby it feels like I have a new back. Can't recommend enough and will be carrying on visiting for regular back care."
